What is Gingerpedia?
The Ginger People developed Gingerpedia to provide an A-Z encyclopedia for all things ginger. We are America’s leading ginger supplier and for 25 years our library has grown; we want to share it with you. Gingerpedia is a way for us to interact with our existing and potential manufacturers, chefs, and product development audience to inform, inspire and communicate. If you have a ginger topic you would like to see on this blog, please let us know – we want to hear from you!
Who are the people behind Gingerpedia?
Katie Blandin Ingredients Sales Manager My favorite food is always changing, but right now I can’t get enough of Oakland-based Bake Sale Betty’s Fried Chicken Sandwich with fresh cabbage/cilantro/jalepeno coleslaw (its not that old-fashioned mayo laced stuff – it’s light & fresh with spices, red wine vinegar & EVOO) to be followed by their famous Ginger-Molasses cookie. This combo cries out weekend picnic. I joined The Ginger People team in 2008, with a suitcase full of recipes & ginger ideas. Food & Drink are my passion and I look forward to sharing that with you.
Kwan P. Cheng QA and Product Development Coordinator Kwan’s favorite food is chocolate, closely followed by Dim Sum. Kwan joined The Ginger People team after studying Food Science at UC Davis. Kwan is happy to assist with product development, certification, documentation, and quality assurance inquiries.
